Hell at this point, they probably don’t even know what the script for the third film will be like, but they’ve already got a date for the fourth? I guess it’s not too out of the ordinary these days (look at what Star Wars and Marvel are doing), but it still feels kind of odd to me. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is the third installment in the series and a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Until there’s a cut of the film, that’s at least close to what the final product will look like, and filmmakers have a decent idea of how the film will do, I don’t think it’s wise to plan for the sequel, let alone TWO of them. I remember writing these exact words, back when the release date for Amazing Spider-Man 2 was announced before the first one was out. I’ve never liked the idea of movies having sequel release dates set before the previous film is out.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved The Amazing Spider-Man and felt it’s the best interpretation of the characters on film so far. Honestly, I’m not that happy about the announcement. That’s right…they’re planning this franchise all the way into 2018, essentially giving us a new Spider-Man film every two years. They sent out a press release just a little bit ago in which they announced The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is releasing on Jand Amazing Spider-Man 4 on May 4, 2018. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is still currently filming, and we’ve yet to even see so much as a trailer from it (which isn’t unexpected since it’s release is a year from now), but Sony is already looking ahead. Earlier we reported on the Man of Steel sequel, and now Sony is showboating it’s hottest franchise around.
The answer is I don't know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future.I guess today’s the day for sequel news. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. That's something we've really talked about. It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could out do J.K. Simmons replied with: "I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film. Jonah Jameson would be in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 film, J.K. Jonah Jameson might have been in the movie.
